So lovely! I wouldn’t turn any of them down.
Did ya’ll see the AMAZING real estate pictures of Alison Pincus’, co-founder of One Kings Lane, home? I know what I’d be buying if I had a cool $9 million laying around. This place is light and bright and right up my alley. I wouldn’t mind the Presidio Heights location either!
Hello, bright yellow subway tile, nice to meet you! I love me a white kitchen with a giant pop of color.
Ummm, yes, these are my silver bamboo dining chairs. Do you like them? Perhaps I’ll have you over for dinner one night.
And the kelly green walls…I just die! I mean, are these lacquered or reverse painted glass or what? The silver foil ceiling ain’t so bad either.
And don’t worry, Husband, there’s a nice wine cellar for you as well. Although it looks like our stock is getting a little low, so you might need to go out and buy some more to fill this place up. I know you hate buying wine and all.
I’m certain we’d be pretty happy here! Whatcha think?!?
For the Love of a House is one of my favorite blogs to peruse. Joan and her husband Dan have been renovating a beautiful old home in New Hampshire. This place just screams New England charm, and the paint job makes my heart skip a beat. While I love living in Northern California, seeing a home this beautiful makes me want to head east.
I about gasped when Joan recently did a post about the landscaping of the front of her home. All I have to say is can Dan come teach The Husband a few things about laying stonework and sod for me? This guy is a superhero. You can check out Joan’s full recap right here.
Ruff Hotel is Chloe’s doggy day care in Napa, and I think I might love this place as much as she does. As a dog mom, I’m always happy because she comes home happy, tired, and CLEAN! And every time we drop her off, they’re always so excited to see her.
We’ve taken Chloe to a bunch of different doggy day care facilities throughout the bay area, and Ruff Hotel is by far the cleanest. Nothing is worse than picking up your dog after you’ve been missing them for a week while on vacation and having them get in your car and smell like urine- yuck!
How cute is their logo with the tennis ball as the period???
Nice, shiny, CLEAN floors! Thank you, Ruff Hotel!
My favorite part is the fake grass that they spray off when the dogs go to the bathroom. Did you notice there’s a Berner in this photo? Made me smile even though it’s not my Chloe Love Bug.
I typically adore everything in your store. However, today I came across this. Hmmmm, how do I say this politely? I guess I’ll just come right out and say it. I don’t get it.
Would someone ever really pay almost $1,700 for this strange concoction of a headboard?
And then to carry it in not just one, but two colorways?!?
Last weekend we had some friends visiting from out of town, so we took them over to the kid-friendly Oxbow Public Market for lunch. While perusing the market, The Husband surprised me with a pint of Cinnamon ice cream from Three Twins Ice Cream. Clearly he knows the way to my heart!
I’m not exaggerating when I say this ice cream changed my life. Not only is it organic, but it’s locally made and the Cinnamon flavor was TO DIE FOR! I’m hosting Thanksgiving this year, and this ice cream is going to the top of my grocery list. I can’t think of a more perfect topping for my delicious pies. Unfortunately, I don’t see the Cinnamon flavor on their website, so if you’d like to get some yourself you might need to call them. I’m thinking it must be a seasonal item, which means I need to go pick-up a few extra pints ASAP!
Halloween is right around the corner, and I’m having an awful time coming up with a new costume idea for Chloe The Love Bug. Last year, I found the most amazeballs costume at Target….a giant Purple Grape. Of course she wasn’t just an everyday, ordinary table grape….she was a CABERNET grape (duh)! She loved every painstaking minute of it. It was her first lesson in fashion over function.
You can see the distane in her eyes. Hopefully she’s forgiven me by now. I should’ve given her more treats to make up for it.
I love you, bug head!
Hands down the best wedding gift that we received was a gift certificate for a hot air balloon ride from Napa Valley Balloons. A couple of weeks ago we finally decided to book our flight, and it was the best Saturday morning that I can remember in a long time. We took off near Domaine Chandon and what is typically a 3-5 mile ride south (landing in our front yard), took us all the way to Sonoma (20 miles away). It had something to do with the tradewinds or some other mumbo jumbo. I was too busy taking in the sights to listen. Here we are about to take off! Love, love, loooooooove the color!
The French Laundry Gardens from above. Yummy!
It was so much fun to be a tourist in our own little town.
If you ever make it to Napa, a balloon ride is a MUST! I swear it’s worth every penny. The whole experience with Napa Valley Balloons was awesome- after the ride they take you back to Domaine Chandon for brunch and mimosas. Make sure to ask for Bob Swanson’s balloon because he was hilarious! He’s a nice Cornhusker from Nebraska, so my mother would definitely approve.
My absolute most favorite home store in Napa Valley is Vintage Home in downtown St. Helena. It just screams wine country cool without being cheesy or overdone. I covet absolutely everything in this amazing little gem of a store. Their assortment is colorful and perfectly curated. Plus they carry some of my favorite home decor brands including Juliska glassware, Olivina home fragrance, Couleur Nature table linens, and Ira Yeagar paintings.
The only bummer is that most of the store is out of my price range. Every now and then I’ll find a little something special to take home with me. This weekend is their semi-annual tent sale, which means The Husband and I will be out front early bird on Saturday morning lusting after floor models! Fingers crossed something makes it home with me!
The other great thing about this store, is the sweet little baby and kids section at the back of the store. It’s my favorite place to pick up something special for a baby shower or a 1st Birthday party.
